The moment clarity caught up with me

I’d been wrestling with a decision for days. You know the kind, where you think you’ve made it, then second-guess it half an hour later.

I’d turned it over in my head in every direction. It was still unclear.

Then I took Midge for a walk.

No earbuds. No agenda. Just sky, the breeze, and soft rhythm of paws on grass.

And somewhere around the field, the answer came to me.

Simple. Clear. Settled.

Not because I tried harder. But because I stopped trying at all.

That walk reminded me (again) that clarity doesn’t come from thinking harder.

It comes from creating space.

From letting your nervous system breathe.

From remembering that you don’t have to earn insight through grind and hustle.

I’ve designed my business to include room for this, not as downtime, but as part of my routine - because the quality of your decisions shapes everything.

And sometimes, the most strategic move you can make is to walk away, just far enough to hear yourself again.

So next time you are going round in circles, going nowhere fast, remember this, and do yourself a favour - step away.
